It’s going to be back-to-back weekends of great theatre, this November in Jos, Plateau state. Two new generation theatre companies, African Renaissance Theatre and Mud House Theatre, have got treats for you.
On the 9th and 10th of November Mud House Theatre presents 3 Friends in A Sold House, written and directed by Wapi Barau. A hilarious comedy which uses an intriguing metaphor to probe into Nigeria’s socio-political conditionibus in its ethnic potpourri. Tickets go for N500 for adults and N150 for children.
On the 16th of November, African Renaissance and Theatre presents the premiere production of double award winning play 54 Silhouettes, written and directed by Africa Ukoh. The play follows the story of an African actor in Hollywood who finds himself at odds with the very same forces that would bring him Tinseltown’s special brand of fame and fortune. Tickets go for N500
The venue for both plays is Alliance Française, Jos, opposite Joseph Gomwalk House. The time for both shows is 5pm. Join us in the expressions and experiences of a new Africa through theatre!
